About
My journey with nasheed began at the age of 11 while I was a learner at Islamia College Primary School. It was there that I first took part in the Primary School Nasheed Competition, while also being coached by Khuddam ul-Islam. Those experiences laid the foundation for my love of nasheed and ignited a passion that has remained with me ever since.
I continued my nasheed journey throughout high school, where I once again competed and was eventually noticed by my first nasheed group. That opportunity allowed me to grow as a performer and deepened my appreciation for using nasheed as a means of praising Allah SWT, sending salutations upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and positively impacting those around us.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt inspired to begin again. With a small intention and sincere hope that Allah would place barakah in the effort, I started what would become Quloob un Nur. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, that small beginning has grown into the group we know today, reaching communities, inspiring youth, and creating opportunities for others to develop a love for nasheed.
Today, Alhamdulillah, I have also been blessed with the opportunity to coach nasheed at various primary and high schools, helping to nurture the next generation of young munshids just as others once invested in me.
Looking back, I am truly grateful for every stage of this journey and every person who played a role in it. I am excited for what lies ahead and pray that Allah accepts our efforts, grants us sincerity, and allows us to continue serving His Deen through nasheed for many years to come, In Shaa Allah.
